Professor Gosselin holds a PhD in Human Resources Management (HRM) and Strategy from the University of Maryland at College Park (Washington, DC).  During a career of more than 38 years at HEC Montréal, he spent more than 10 years in an executive position at the École des Dirigeants (Executive Education Department). He is now an honorary professor and still works as Academic Director for the International Programs at HEC Montréal. His main areas of teaching and research are human resources strategies, talent management and leadership development.

In 2007, he received the Grand Prize for excellence in teaching. In 2012, he was awarded the Esdras-Minville Award for his constant implication in the business community. Also, in 2013, he was named Fellow by the Order of CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional). This is the highest distinction awarded to a member of the CHRP who, through his leadership, his reputation, his extraordinary competence and his achievements, contributed to the growth and influence of the profession.

He also developed and managed executive development programs for the African Development Bank (when in Tunis), Asian Development Bank (Manila), Doosan Leadership Institute (Seoul), Romanian Commercial Bank (Bucharest), Cevital (Algeria), China Yangtze Power (China), Guodian (China), LISI Aeropspace (France and India),  STEG (Tunisia). He has developed HEC Montréal’s International Programs EsMBA online. He currently works on developing programs for executives for the Caisse de dépôt in Morocco and the American University of Beyrouth.
